The housekeeping team at our Stowe, VT location works together to provide a superior guest experience by maintaining exceptionally clean spaces that exceed expectations. Each Houseperson, whether working independently or with a partner, plays a vital role in supporting Housekeepers by assisting with tasks like sanitizing and refreshing common areas and hallways, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of public areas on the property.

Compensation:

18 - 20 hourly

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Restocking housekeeping supplies in guest and employee closets
  • Removing used items from guest rooms and properly disposing of them
  • Overseeing the cleaning of linens and fabrics, and ensuring outdoor areas are clear of clutter and potential safety hazards by removing snow and other obstacles
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing a clean uniform throughout the shift
  • Use the provided supplies to clean and maintain guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring they are stocked with linens, towels, and amenities
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers and dryers, and manage linen inventory effectively
  • Welcome guests warmly, provide information on room amenities and assist with any inquiries or requests
  • Handle guest requests, special needs, and complaints professionally and courteously
  • Adhere to guidelines for using cleaning chemicals and follow safety regulations diligently
  • Keep storage areas well-supplied and organized, working collaboratively with team members for efficient operations
  • Follow property procedures for handling lost and found items appropriately
  • Uphold a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property to protect its assets

Successfully fulfilling these tasks requires a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of autonomy.

Qualifications:

  • Frequent walking, bending, balancing, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, manual dexterity and repetitive motions. May require the ability to work on uneven outdoor surfaces, move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses
  • Manually handle/lift/carry product up to 35 pounds between knee and shoulders
  • Must have bilateral fine manipulation of both hands which may be repetitive for the entire shift
  • Must be vertically mobile working in limited space for the entire shift
  • Frequent stair-climbing
  • Working in extreme temperatures and conditions both indoors and out
  • Schedule varies according to operational needs; may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts
  • Frequent hand-washing
  • Valid Driver's License is a must
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to Covid-19, lifting injuries, exposure to unsanitary materials, slips, and tripping
